Lets talk about sleep again shall we? It’s at the centre of our minds all (yes I know I sound like a broken record) but a good nights sleep is what all us mums strive for each night. I’ve always been a huge fan of baby sleeping bags. I have used them for both of my babies and I find them to be the easiest sleep solution. If your baby likes to thrash around at night and kick their blankets off (which most of them do) then you need a decent sleeping bag for a good nights sleep.

Recently ergopouch sent me their ergoCocoon sleeping bag for my 7 month old. I have always been a bit cheap with the ones that I buy so when I had the chance to try the ergoCocoon I jumped at it!

ergopouch are an Australian owned company who design quality baby swaddles, sleeping bags and sleep suit bags that are both fashion forward and practical.

The ergoCocoon ‘no origami’ baby Swaddle Sleep Bags are designed to be both easy to use and difficult to escape from. The simple zip up design will keep baby snug and securely swaddled without the need for complicated wrapping. The 1.0 TOG ergoCocoon Swaddle Sleep Bag is designed for Autumn/Spring Temperatures and is made from a beautiful Organic Cotton and Bamboo mix.

The ergoCocoon arrived and I immediately fell in love with both the design and the feel of the sleeping bag. It had a lovely soft material that is almost fleecy inside. It is stretchy meaning your baby can move around well and the design was beautiful. My favourite design feature is that it has a 2-way zipper, which means that you can undo the bottom first for late night nappy changes. This is SO convenient and I’ve already used this feature a couple of times when my baby needs a nappy change but is very sleepy.

My son is 7 months so he has his arms out of the ErgoCocoon. The arms slots have poppers so it can be used to swaddle your baby when he/she is young. Babies loved to be swaddled and it stops them from waking up when they have their newborn jerk reflex. I never swaddled my second baby because I find it really confusing to get the swaddle technique right but the ergoCocoon makes it very easy. All you have to do is put them inside the cocoon and zip them up! Then when your baby is old enough you simply undo the poppers and their arms are free.

I have been using the 1.0 tog, which is perfect for this time of year in the UK. I am always confused about what I should be dressing my baby in for sleep. ergopouch offer a simple temperature chart on their website which tells you what your baby should be wearing based on each sleeping bag they offer and the temperature of your baby’s room. It’s so easy! Turns out I have been over dressing my baby for the last 7 months! Whoops!

I would not hesitate to recommend this product to my family and friends. I absolutely LOVE it! It’s beautiful to look at, easy to use and the fabric feels lovely. I will definitely be using Ergo Pouch for all of my future sleeping bag purchases. Now I have tried the brand I wont be going back.

The ergoCocoon retails at £28.99 and you can check out their extensive product list at www.ergopouch.co.uk
