SPRING DIARIES: THE HOXTON #4 | SHOREDITCH

February 24th, 2016 / Stephane

The Hoxton Hotel is one of Shoreditch’s leading hot spots. It’s known for its contemporary in house restaurant, the Hoxton Grill, East End’s very own hipster central meeting spot and least I forget, cocktails served from the bar that are always on fleek! With all that going on, it’s quite easy to forget it also is a place to stay!

So you can imagine my excitement when I was booked in for a 24 hour experience, it was “Bye Bye” lobby and hello bedroom! Quick, suave and efficient – everything from checking in to ordering my breakfast was literally as easy as one, two, three.

Once I was in my room, I was greeted by the soulful jazz playing from the radio – (now I’m not too sure if this was intentional, but none the less I loved it!) The room was compact, but spacious with large wide mirrors to open the space up. There wasn’t much of a view, but think budget luxury boutique all in one!

Complete with 210 rooms overall, the hotel pride themselves on having everything their guests would need. That’s totally correct! The best feature for me was the rainmaker shower combined with the super fast free WiFi. A feature I wish I’d utilised was the free hour of phone calls, however I think this would come in handy for for those visiting from abroad to connect with old or new London pals!

At check in I was given my breakfast bag and in true fan girl style, I completed my checklist of what I wanted for breakfast and put it outside my door all set for the following morning! Breakfast was a choice of a banana, freshly squeezed orange juice, yogurt and muesli.

The minibar came complete with a cute carton of milk, unlimited bottles of water and tea making facilities which is always a treat!

There are an array of activities to attend in the area as it’s situated right in the heart of Shoreditch. Whether you want to dance the night away to the latest house tunes or simply eat at some of East London’s finest eateries! This is a certified hot spot to stay at with it being just walking distance from all the action.

Whether you’re up for breakfast, a little later for brunch, or a fancy feast at any time of day, they’ve got it covered. Open seven days a week, serving food from 7am until midnight, and drinks right through ’til 2am. Totally winning right!

It was a lovely hotel and the vibe was relaxed and calming, the staff were friendly and down to earth which is always an added bonus! So in at No.4 T he Hoxton Hotel is certainly one of our Spring Hot Spots for 2016!
