the MIJO Studio for eve bed frame

July 3rd, 2018 / Stephane

sleep by design eve x collaboration with the MIJO studio

eve Sleep is introducing its first ever interior design collaboration with the launch of a limited edition bed frame, designed by the creative duo behind MIJO Studio. Launching in July, the bed frame will feature an exclusive print by the talented Copenhagen-based twosome –Miranda Tengs Brun and Josefine Gilbert.

Previously highlighted by the London Design Fair where they were listed as a favourite find, MIJO Studio use Scandinavian influences to inspire their work, which is characterised by hand-painted design within textiles. Favouring an analogue approach, their patterns are unique and organic, with an artistic finish.

Celebrating imperfections, the duo work with paints, oils and inks to generate unique patterns with large, oversized brush strokes, making each piece of artwork unique.

fabric features

The MIJO bed frame fabric reflects MIJO’s signature style – abstract and painterly – leaving a hand-crafted impression that lends itself to artistic interiors.

The fabric features a colour palette of tonal blues that is in keeping with the wider range of eve textiles, including the best-selling eve linen bedding and an upcoming collection of jersey bedding, launching in soft blues and greys. The bed frame also features a dash of yellow as an accent colour – a subtle nod to the eve brand.

“We love how eve has a fresh approach to everything it designs, so we were confident that a collaboration would be a true partnership. eve’s ethos of simplicity in design resonates with us, and we were confident that their credentials as a leading sleep brand, with a Scandinavian look and feel, would mean we could create a beautiful, premium product together. It’s been an exciting process.” – Miranda Tengs Brun, MIJO Studio

a unique design

Coming with the option of either with a headboard or without (platform style), the bed frame is made in a canvas style fabric, selected to complement the painter’s artistic approach to design. With a large scale pattern, the scale of the design and random placement makes each piece of furniture completely unique.

complementary artwork

Each bed frame also comes with a rolled piece of MIJO Studio wall art (A3 in size and worth £50), featuring a complementary colour palette including an accent of soft pink.
