FATHER’S DAY COUNTDOWN: Introducing BU Water

June 13th, 2017 / Stephane

The premium eco friendly reusable water bottle

With Father’s Day round the corner we’ve put together some of our favourite products and brands to treat the special men in our lives. First up is BU; a London based brand that kickstarted in 2013. Spearheaded by product designer, Richard, he was inspired by the simple belief that the things that surround us everyday should be beautiful and functional while helping us live a happy and healthy lifestyle.

So out of that came the BU reusable water bottle measuring at 700ml. It allows water drinkers to not only have style whilst drinking but keeps you hydrated without costing the planet.

The filters are 100% natural, to minimise the use of plastic and made from BPA and BPS-free Tritan. Although it’s said to be shatter resistant the only thing I’ve discovered is that some of the bamboo pieces do chip and come through the filter so be mindful of that when cleaning out your bottle. Useable charcoal bamboo filter sticks are also available on their store for just £5. It’s both lightweight and dishwasher safe.

If like me, you love minimalistic, Scandinavian inspired brands you have no reason to not be a fan. It’s an affordable and eco friendly brand, making this the perfect gift for someone you love or even yourself.

Here are some facts about the Bú Water Bottle:

Sustainable

Bamboo is the fastest growing plant on the planet, growing up to three feet per day. Strong, durable and sustainable, it’s perfect for BU Water bottles.

Kiln-activated

Using a traditional Japanese method, we place the stalks in a kiln to transform the bamboo into activated charcoal. This process opens up millions of tiny pores within the bamboo’s structure, to capture impurities from your water.

Removes impurities

Unpleasant odours and chemicals, such as chlorine, are adsorbed and trapped by the filter. At the same time, minerals such as potassium and magnesium are released, to give your water a crisp and silky taste.

Recyclable

When you’ve finished using the filter, it can be crushed and buried in your garden. It will release nutrients into the soil, helping your plants grow.

So what you waiting for! Order your’s now!
