REVIEW: Natural Hair Repair with WELEDA

September 10th, 2014 / Stephane

-The Healthy Hair Journey –

I have to hold my hands up here and admit that historically I have not been good at taking care of my hair. The temptations of heat and bleach throughout my teenage years proved too much for me to resist and now I am most definitely paying the price. Impossibly dry curls twinned with stubborn frizz means that I am now constantly on the lookout for new miracle products that can help me nurse my hair back to full health!

WELEDA’s all natural products are specially designed to work in harmony with your body’s natural ability to heal itself {to read more about this click here}

1. OAT Replenishing Shampoo

OAT Replenishing Shampoo & OAT Replenishing Treatment

(Oat Replenishing Shampoo £8.95, Oat Replenishing Treatment £11.50)

I’ve always found it difficult to find a shampoo that cleanses whilst still retaining moisture in my hair, and at first I thought this was no exception. While I was washing it, my hair still felt quite coarse but afterwards I noticed there was slightly less frizz than normal. The jojoba oil, organic oat and sage helped to calm my curls a little, but this shampoo is fairly expensive so I’m unsure as to whether the difference is worth the price.

2 .OAT Replenishing Treatment

I was more impressed with this than the shampoo – the blend of ingredients (coconut oil, jojoba oil, organic shea butter and organic oat extract) really seemed to agree with my hair. After I’d left it on for 10 minutes, the result was a noticeable taming of my frizz and a much more defined curl. As it’s only meant for use up to twice a week, I don’t think it would be too heavy for hair that isn’t as dry as mine either. If you’ve experienced any sort of breakage, heat damage, or are just trying to grow long locks, this product would be great for you.

3. Nourishing Hair Oil with Rosemary

Nourishing Hair Oil with Rosemary

(Retailed at £8.95)

I actually took this on holiday with me and was seriously amazed at what this little bottle could do. Sun, salt and chlorine were no match for my hair when this blend of rosemary, clover and burdock root got involved. I very rarely have shiny curls, but the conditioning agents in this oil went so deep that my hair is now glossy. It’s versatile too – you can use it on wet or dry hair, whether you just want to nourish the ends of your hair or give your whole head a full treatment. I will definitely carry on using this.
