GRANDPA WATCH: Strolling with the Diono Quantum

September 6th, 2017 / Stephane

Quantum Multimode Stroller and Travel System

It’s was exciting receiving my very own ‘grandpapa’ pram. With my grandson being only 2 months old, I was so excited to unveil the Diono Quantum multi-mode travel stroller for our many excursions to come.

Quantum is said to be engineered with clever design features to keep baby safe, secure and protected meaning you can focus on the everyday loving moments of joy whilst travelling in comfort, ease and style. Created to provide the best journeys, the Diono Quantum glides over all terrains, and features the first completely symmetrical chassis making it perfectly balanced as well as stylish.

It arrived in a really compact box. Once I’d opened it assembling was quick and extremely straight forward. First up I put the wheels on and these attached with ease and were easy to identify. On first glance I was a little taken back by the turquoise and what appeared to be a brightly coloured shade of blue meets green, however once the pram was set up the darker tone would be the main body which worked really nicely as a contrast to the brighter shade of turquoise.

Once assembled it was evident the hood would provide great coverage for baby for all weather conditions. The wheels are easy to manoeuvre and are very smooth. Underneath the bassinet area is lots of storage space for shopping and baby bag which is always an added bonus. The fact the bassinet can interchange from facing and non facing as children grow is a great feature and will see my grandson through many a trip from his carrycot stage now till his terrible toddler antics!

I found the foot break to be very simple to use with it’s one-step, push-on/push-off brake system – it did need a strong and firm push to bring it to a halt, but works well. The entire box came complete with a chassis, convertible seat, hood, basket, rain cover, carriage liner, mattress (for new borns), apron, seat liner, number bar and car seat adaptors. When looking at it’s competitors the Diono is great value for money and I would give it an overall 4*.

Check out the Diono promo film HERE for a better look at it in action.

It comes in four colours: red, blue, turquoise or navy and retails at just £500
